Windermere Fitness Park – Coming Spring 2022

Windermere Secondary School will be getting a new 15 station fitness park in 2022. The brainchild of PE teacher Brad White, the Windermere Fitness park will be located on what is currently an asphalt plaza on the school grounds at 27th and Lillooet Street. Mr White, who oversaw and developed the plan, together with a very active school PAC committee, fundraised over $100,000 to bring the project take the project from an idea to a sure thing. Construction of the WFP will begin in early 2020 and the outdoor exercise facility should be ready to use for PE classes by the spring. The fitness park will be free and open to the public before and after school and on weekends and holidays. The Renfrew Heights community immediately embraced the idea and offered donations which included a $5000 gift from one resident alone! For more on the Windermere Fitness Park, visit the WFP website.
